Vitalize Peel  is the most popular of the SkinMedica Peels. It combines alpha hydroxy acid with other peeling agents to restore skin to a more youthful state. It reduces fine lines and sun damage, improves skin’s texture and tone, and heals damaging effects of the environment. The Vitalize peel is great for skin with acne, hyperpigmentation, or melasma. Results will be seen with one peel but 3 or more peels can be performed for maximum results. This peel requires little to no downtime and is gentle enough to be performed every three weeks.

The Vitalize Peel is pain-free.  No anesthetic or topical numbing is required.  Patients will normally experience a mild tingling sensation as each layer is applied, but this is short lived.  Once the skin is prepped, the esthetician will apply the peel, which may be up to three layers, depending on the individual’s skin condition.  A final, fourth layer will be applied to neutralize the acids in the Vitalize Peel.  Patients are then able to return to their normal activities.
